Trade Suggestion on Sidewalks Appreciated by Street Vendors

The suggestion of Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat who allow street vendors selling on the sidewalks, getting an appreciation from street vendors in North Jakarta. Unfortunately, many of themm still do not know the terms that they should obey while selling on the location.

"The street vendors support the government's plan which allow street vendors selling on the sidewalks. But they should understand it well, that it must not permanent and there is operation time," said Head of  North Jakarta Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives Sub-Department, Rosita Tambunan, Friday (4/24).

According to Tambunan, the street vendors concept is using cart not constructing a building in available land. Because by using cart makes them could move as scheduled.

She uttered, Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama had exemplified a couple of times ago, good concept of street vendors is on rightside of Pluit Reservoir Park in Penjaringan.

"At that time, mr. governor really expected the concept of street vendors arrangement on rightside of Pluit Reservoir could be a pilot project for the street vendors in other areas," she disclosed.
